Condominium Law

Welcome to our Web site. We hope that you will find our site informative and useful. Our goal is to provide the highest quality legal services to you and your business in a timely fashion. We welcome the opportunity to talk with you and to discuss how we may be of service.

The Sunshine State has always been a favorite destination for condominium developers and owners alike.  In recent years we have all witnessed the boom in not only the housing market but also the condominium market.  Condominiums, whether a vacation property or a full-time residence, are often a way to avoid the headaches and worries that go along with home ownership and maintenance while at the same time building equity rather than throwing hard-earned money away on rent.  Unfortunately, condominium ownership can sometimes be more challenging than owning a home.  Owners may be faced with anything from well-intending but procedurally uneducated board members to overzealous and vindictive board members who enjoy power that they have obtained as a board member.  This is not to say that all associations are run this way, as there are many excellent people who unselfishly dedicate enormous amounts of personal time to their fellow residents with only one goal in mind--a better living experience for all.  However, as with most other professions and positions of responsibility, there are bad apples.

Below are several links for your review.  Whether you are already an owner or just considering purchasing a unit, it is a good idea to understand what your rights AND responsibilities are.  A little homework now will save you quite a few headaches and disappointments later on.

Check back for an extended article to be posted soon that will provide a more in depth analysis of condominium life.
